Air Products South Africa offers an exciting 12-month learnership in Chemical Plant Operations at their Newcastle facility. This program aims to equip unemployed youth with foundational skills in plant operations, emphasizing hands-on training and workplace readiness. Successful candidates will gain exposure to plant processes, safety practices, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting while completing the NQF Level 4 qualification.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured theoretical and practical training related to plant operations
• Assist with monitoring, operating, and maintaining chemical plant equipment under supervision
• Learn and apply safety and quality control procedures
• Record operational data and support daily reporting activities
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with plant hygiene and safety regulations
• Work as part of a team to achieve production and safety goals

Qualifications

• Qualifications:
• Must have Matric/Grade 12
• Completed Math and Science subjects in Matric
• Skills:
• ust be computer literate
• Able to work in a team
• Good verbal and written communication
• Eligibility:
• Must be a South African Citizen
• Must reside within 50km radius from the Newcastle Plant
• Must be between the ages of 22 to 30 years
• Must be unemployed and have never participated in any learnership program
• Additional Information:
• Preference will be given to candidates residing in or around Newcastle
